I have dedicated my life, first as a sergeant in the U.S. Army and later as a Fairfax County Deputy Sheriff Lieutenant, to making our Country, County and neighborhoods safe. As your Sheriff, I will not sit behind a desk. I will be out in the community, as I have been for over 23 years, standing side by side with fellow law enforcement officers. Together we will arrest the 4000 fugitives living in our neighborhoods, fight the gangs that are infecting our schools, and run a tough and secure jail."
